Ronit Kark is an Associate Tenured Professor of Leadership and Organizational Studies in the Department of Psychology and the Gender Studies Program at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. Prof. Kark received her Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and completed her postdoctoral studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. She is an affiliate scholar at the Centre for Gender in Organizations (CGO), Simmons Business School, Boston.
She is the founder and first director of the graduate program ‘Gender in the Field: Linking Theory and Practice’ at Bar-Ilan University. In this program uptill now over 100 women graduated and they all initated inspiring feminist projects in the Israeli society. She received the Loreal-Rekanati Prize for the Study of Women and Management in Israel, for her doctoral dissertation. She was awarded the Academy of Management 2012 Award for the Scholarly Contributions to Educational Practice Advancing Women in Leadership. She works as an organizational consultant for leading organizations in different sectors (private, NGOs and public sector).
Her work has been published in various leading journals, including The Academy of Management Review, The Academy of Management Annals, The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organization, Journal of Organization Change Management and Journal of Applied Psychology. Prof. Kark serves on the editorial boards of The Academy of Management Review, The Leadership Quarterly, The International Journal of Management Review and served on the board of The Academy of Management Journal. Her current research interests include leadership, positive relationships and relatedness in organizations, identity and identification processes, gender dynamics in organizations and the role of play in creativity at work.
She serves voluntarily on the advisory committees and boards of different NGOs in Israel that aim to enhance social change, womens advancement and equality (e.g., The Abraham Fund for Jewish-Arab Co-existence, Studio of Her Own, Women's Leadership in Business and Women in the Film, Jerusalem Women Business Owners Forum, etc.).
Prof. Kark has extensive experience in organizational consulting, team facilitation and executive coaching. She specializes in enabling executives to realize opportunities for professional growth as they face key leadership challenges such as managing change, leading for promotion and prevention, managing diversity, fostering creativity, contributing to employees' thriving, and enhancing organizational culture and workplace empowerment. Prof. Kark’s works with the private sector, the public sector and NGOs.

Stav Cohen- 22 years old, from Gadera. Third year student for Psychology and State Science B.A. in BIU. Interested in clinical psychology for children but trying different fields as well. In addition to my work with prof. Kark in Social and Organizational Psychology, I work as a research assistant for Dr. Rivka Toval- Mashiach.
